10 Most Expensive Cities to Live in Canada: rental prices in June 2022

Rent prices have risen in many Canadian cities. In some cities in Canada, the rate of rent growth has reached double digits on an annualized basis. Among major cities, Quebec saw the largest increase in rental prices over the year. Renting apartments with 1 bedroom in Quebec has risen in price by 28% over the year, and apartments with 2 bedrooms – by 19.30%. The city of Kelowna also made the list of leaders in annual growth in apartment rental prices, with one-bedroom apartments up 21.60% year-on-year and two-bedroom apartments up 23.60%. The most expensive cities to live in are Vancouver (1 bedroom = $2,200) and Toronto (1 bedroom = $1,990). Prices are in US dollars.
