Brazil is the world leader in coffee bean production in 2020. Brazil harvests one third of the world’s coffee crop each year (34.6%). Brazil harvests 3.70 million tons of coffee annually. The second place in the collection of coffee beans is occupied by Vietnam with a share of 16.5%. Back in the early 90s, Vietnam collected about 100 thousand tons of coffee and is not even in the top 10. Vietnamese coffee is gradually gaining popularity in the world.
Colombia (7.8%), Indonesia (7.2%) and Ethiopia (5.5%) also made it into the top five coffee harvesting countries.
